B). Clearly visible is that in juveniles, the valves are still in contact and are not covered by the perinotum. Although the intermediate valves of adults are hardly visible in ethanol preserved specimens, they are practically indiscernible in living specimens and the animal may easily be taken for a wormlike animal. In one of the collected specimens a gastropod that most probably belongs to the 
<taxonomicName id="5181A7A24025FFF8C760F941FF29E62B" class="Gastropoda" family="Capulidae" kingdom="Animalia" order="Littorinimorpha" pageId="27" pageNumber="28" phylum="Mollusca" rank="family">Capulidae</taxonomicName>
is attached to the posterior perinotum region (
