Protoconch elevated, finely spirally striated, consisting of ca. 1.5 whorls; R1 consisting of 1.75-2 whorls, very densely, finely ribbed and finely spirally striated, resulting in a fine, dense reticulated surface; R2 + R3 short, ca. 70-80° combined; R2 slightly shorter than R3; ribs on R2 more widely spaced and more elevated than those on R1, although still low; spiral striation also visible on R2 (
