NOTES. The genus includes 24 described species from the Indo-Malay region and the East Asian subregion of the Holarctics. Beetles are typical for forest areas, but are rare in collections. They live in the galleries of bark and ambrosia beetles, where they prey on soft-bodied invertebrates, primarily bark beetle larvae. Out of three species recorded in

, two species are known exclusively from the south of the Far East (Kryzhanovskij &amp; Reichardt, 1976).
