) but distinguished by the markedly larger medial dorsal crest of the uncus, the larger coecum, the smaller subbasal dorsal diverticulum of the phallus vesica, the larger lateral cornutus, and the narrower distal diverticulum.

. The specific epithet is derived from the Greek ‘σολομός’ meaning ‘a salmon’ and refers to the salmon pink forewing colouration. The name is a noun in the nominative singular in apposition to the generic name.
