) that agree well with the western Atlantic material. The sculpturing on the male minor chela is well developed, with deep dorsal and ventral grooves on the palm extending to the mesial and lateral margins. On the other hand, the V-notch on the cutting edge of the pollex of the major chela is absent in the male and inconspicuous in the female. The ischium of pereiopod 5 is unarmed in the male and armed in the female. Although rare, the condition observed in this female is also present in some eastern Atlantic specimens.
