. The genus is characterized by having the metasoma with a conical expansion on the sternum VIII and the hypopygium with the anterolateral apodeme very thick along its length with a very gibbous tip.

. Mandible wider apically than basally, teeth directed mesad. Clypeus with lateral lobe well delimited by emargination and much shorter than median lobe. Palpal formula 6:3, palpi without bristles, apical setae of each palpomere at most slightly longer than palpomeral width, two distal maxillary palpomeres shorter than precedent one. Eye prominent and large, occupying at least half length of head. Ocellar triangle prominent, ocelli protruding over vertex surface, at least 0.5 × as high as diameter of anterior ocellus. Occipital carina visible in dorsal view and complete. Medioccipito-genal carina complete. Hypostomal carina well impressed, complete, angled medially.

. Pronotum ecarinate, dorsal surface mostly flat. Anteromesoscutum without notaulus, but with parapsidal signum. Mesoscutum-mesoscutellar suture contiguous medially. Mesoscutum-mesoscutelar sulcus deep, long and wide. Metascutellum slightly wider than long, little setose, surface convex. Metapectal-propodeal complex with transverse anterior, lateral and transverse posterior carinae. Propodeal declivity without median carina. Propodeal spiracle very elongated elliptical-shaped, crossing lateral carina anteriorly. Propleuron completely covered by pronotal flange when seen in dorsal view. Prepectus, anterior prepectal flange, posterior prepectal flange and epicnemial medial projection fully separated medially. Forewing with poststigmal abscissa of R1 short as stub; Rs&amp;M inclined, its junction with Sc+R close to pterostigma, distance of junction from pterostigma much less than length of latter; with eight flexion lines: claval (c), prestigmal (P), medial (M), anterior medial (1M), posterior medial (2M), radial (R), radial-median cross (r-m), medio-cubital cross (m-cu) always present. Hind wing with Sc+R vein slightly shorter than clavus; with only distal set of hamuli.

. Metasomal segment I slightly longer than II, its spiracle with elliptical opening. Metasomal segments II and III destitute of tergal process. Sternum VIII with pair of conical expansion posterad. Hypopygium with single plate, fully sclerotized and flat; anterolateral apodeme very thick along its length with very gibbous tip, anteromedial apodeme absent, spiculum short and conical. Genitalia with paramere clearly with harpe and gonostipes separated from each other by evident parameral fissure; harpe simple; gonostipes much wider ventrally than dorsally; basivolsella fully separated of gonostipes, without vannus, long, reaching basal third of gonostipes; digitus with denticulate dorsal surface; cuspis uniramous; aedeagus somewhat cylindrical, aedeagal apodeme not divided into valvura and ergot basally; genital ring complete, elliptical, opening ventrad; cupula ill developed, restricted to lateral area, absent medially both on ventral and dorsal side. , glut is a contraction of γλουτιαίος from Greek which means gluteus, and dont is also a contraction of δόντι from Greek the which means tooth, in allusion to the sternal expansion in the metasoma. Gender masculine.
