). The body feathers were mostly brownish-black, but the flight feathers on the wings were silvery-gray underneath, contrasting with the darker wing linings. The head was small in proportion to the body and red in color with no feathers. This species also has a relatively short, hooked, ivory-colored beak. Its legs and feet are pink-skinned with white marks.
