There are three specimens in the type lot with original labels in
<normalizedToken originalValue="Smiths">Smith's</normalizedToken>
handwriting including a label stating
<normalizedToken originalValue="“type”">&quot;type&quot;</normalizedToken>
, and subsequently changed to read &quot;holotype red spot&quot;. The original description gives the measurements of only one shell which matches those of the NHM specimen with the red spot. This specimen is designated as the lectotype.
