smooth, partially cracked, brown, margin dusky red. Pore surface yellowish brown when young, becoming dark brown when old, round to angular pores, 1-2 per mm.
ellipsoid to cylindrical, striate, with 5-8 ridges, thick-walled, yellowish brown to reddish brown, bearing a guttule, 10.9-14.0 × 6.3-9.6 μm [Q = 1.45-1.73].
