This new species is similar to

<emphasis id="B918147CFFC5FFA9C6AC70C3A78AFB7B" box="[694,954,1211,1236]" italics="true" pageId="2" pageNumber="55">Issikiopteryx japonica</emphasis>
</taxonomicName>
, but can be separated from it by the following characters: the uncus lobe trapezoidal, the dorso-apical process of the cucullus pointed and curved distally, and the aedeagus with about 15 short spine-shaped cornuti in the male genitalia; the caudal processes of the male eighth sternite short and triangular; and the lamella antevaginalis inconspicuous in the female genitalia. In

a): Wing expanse 14.015.0 mm. Head with vertex pale yellow, frons shiny whitish yellow. Labial palpus yellow, paler on inner surface. Antenna yellow. Thorax yellow. Tegula dark gray. Forewing with termen slightly arched; ground color ochreous yellow, with black spot at base, with large, kidney-shaped silvery gray blotch at 1/3 surrounded by dark brown scales; distal 1/3 with some longitudinal grayish brown streaks, somewhat forming a blotch; cilia gray. Hindwing and cilia pale yellow, somewhat grayish. Legs yellow, with black speckles on mid and hind tarsi. Abdomen yellow.

a): Uncus lobe more or less trapezoidal, slightly concave on posterior margin. Gnathos long, greatly hooked distally. Valva broad basally, greatly narrowed distally, armed with numerous short spines and teeth from about middle to 3/4 ventrally, with one large spine beyond ventral 2/3; cucullus produced into long digitate process, hooked downward and hairy distally; costal bar curved medially. Sacculus narrow. Juxta expanded latero-medially, gently concave on posterior margin, forming two short pointed caudal processes. Aedeagus nearly parallel-sided except broad basally; apex bilobed: dorsal lobe large, rounded at apex, ventral lobe a curved slender spine, exceeding end of dorsal lobe; cornuti composed of one large hooked distal spine and about fifteen short spines scattered throughout median portion.

c): Papillae anales short and broad. Apophyses posteriores about three times length of apophyses anteriores. Lamella antevaginalis indistinct. Antrum large, broadly funnelled, anterior margin about half width of posterior margin. Ductus bursae with posterior 2/3 heavily sclerotized, bearing numerous short spines and teeth patched medially; anterior 1/3 narrower, membranous. Corpus bursae oval, spinulate inside; signum a narrow dentate plate, protruding dorso-medially.
