This genus has been divided into a number of genera or subgenera, according to the views of various workers on the family, and the species before me falls in the subgenus 
<emphasis box="[688,886,1369,1411]" italics="true" pageId="0" pageNumber="201">Bactroccra.</emphasis>
The only character distinguishing the concept from 
<emphasis box="[489,707,1421,1463]" italics="true" pageId="0" pageNumber="201">Chactodacus</emphasis>
is the presence of one or two oblique dark fasciae on the disk of the wing in addition to the one over the anal cell.

:253-266, 1931], I presented a key to the then known Pacific island species of this group, and in that key the 
<collectingCountry box="[645,749,1634,1676]" name="Guam" pageId="0" pageNumber="201">Guam</collectingCountry>
species runs clown to 
<emphasis box="[1147,1371,1634,1676]" italics="true" pageId="0" pageNumber="201">D. distinctus</emphasis>
Malloch, but it is readily distinguished therefrom by the wing markings and other characters noted below.
