In New Brunswick, 
<taxonomicName id="D49242437CA452C3723BA93FECB620A7" class="Insecta" family="Staphylinidae" genus="Geodromicus" higherTaxonomySource="CoL" kingdom="Animalia" lsidName="Geodromicus strictus" order="Coleoptera" pageId="3" pageNumber="10" phylum="Arthropoda" rank="species" species="strictus">Geodromicus strictus</taxonomicName>
was usually found on exposed rocks and among cobblestones in the middle of clear, fast-flowing rivers or in moss on rocks adjacent to fast-flowing water near waterfalls. A few adults were collected from cobblestones in shaded brooks. Adults were collected by splashing rocks or cobblestones. This species was collected during June, July, August, and September.
