Body blackish brown; eyes reddish. Thoracic tergites and pleura, scutellum, most of abdominal lateral plates of third to sixth abdominal sterna covered with setigerous granules. Antennae and legs beset with erect setae.

Genae produced over raised clypeus nearly reaching apex of first antennal segment, their lateral margins subparallel; antenniferous lobes finger-like, diverging anteriorly; vertex with V-shaped tuberculate ridges flanked by 2 (1+1) shallow ovate callosities; postocular lobes granulate; antennae 1.82 times as long as width of head across eyes; rostrum not reaching limits of rostral groove, rostral groove deep, narrow, open posteriorly (

Prosternum with median elevation, separated from mesosternum by a suture; meso-, metasterna and sternum II separated by sutures, with shallow smooth longitudinal impressions at middle. Metathoracic scent gland canal obliquely elevated, extending to lateral margins of thoracic pleura, not visible from above. Sterna III to VI with triangular, smooth spots medially, flanked by 2 (1+1) large, shallow depressions, these bearing 2 (1+1) round callous spots; laterad with 4 (2+2) smaller round callous spots.
