Among the genera Anophthalmus sp. (not shown) and in D. (N.) lohaji n. sp. (A), the position of the first humeral seta (= red arrowhead) is quite variable but is usually positioned anteriorly and is more or less shifted inward along the 7th stria. Among Duvalius lineage, disaggregated conditions are probably convergent and independently derived. White arrowheads indicate the relative position of the discal and preapical setae; the anterior one is located at the level of the second (Agostinia, B), the third (D. (N.) lohaji n. sp., A, and Duvaliaphaenops, C) or the fourth (Trichaphaenops, D) humeral seta." ;
